Behind every great veterinary practice is a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the well-being of every pet and every family who walks through our doors.
From the first phone call to the time you leave after your appointment, our receptionist, veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff work together to provide a welcoming experience and exceptional care. Their compassion, knowledge, and commitment help make Twinbrook Animal Clinic the special place it has been for generations.
We are proud of the people who make up our Twinbrook family, and we're excited to introduce them to you.

Clinic Coordinator and Client Relations
Nicky joined the Twinbrook Animal Clinic family in 2015 at just 15 years old. While working at the clinic, she graduated from high school, earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, and later completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Fortunately for us, we convinced her that Twinbrook was exactly where she belonged!
Over the years, Nicky has grown into several important roles within the practice. From Client Service Representative to Clinic Coordinator, she has become an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the clinic. During the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, her willingness to learn, adapt, and support every aspect of the practice made her an invaluable member of our team.
Nicky loves that no two days at Twinbrook are ever the same. She especially enjoys building lasting relationships with our clients and patients and values the teamwork that allows our staff to provide exceptional care, especially during challenging situations.
Outside the clinic, Nicky enjoys boating and spending time outdoors with her family, friends, and dogs. She is also a firefighter and first responder in her local community. Her chocolate Labrador Retriever, Petunia, is a certified therapy dog who serves as a debriefing dog for the fire department, providing comfort and support to first responders after difficult calls.

Client Service Representative
Lin Client Service Representative Lin joined the Twinbrook Animal Clinic team in 2020, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience working with animals. Before coming to Twinbrook, she spent many years as a professional groomer and also worked in a veterinary clinic, making her a knowledgeable and familiar face for both pets and their families.
Lin truly enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, but what she values most is the opportunity to build relationships with the people and pets she meets each day. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and genuine love for animals are evident to everyone who walks through our doors, and she takes pride in helping make every visit a positive experience.
When she's not at the clinic, Lin loves spending time outdoors. Whether she's boating, camping, fishing, swimming, or snowmobiling—including adventures through Canada—she enjoys making the most of every season. Her home is filled with animals, including three dogs—Emma, Uschi, and Ollie; four cats— Casanova, Dora, Frosty Paws, and Minnie; three ducks—Waddles, Puddles, and Paddles; and four chickens— Scrappy, Kellogg, Lacy, and Bar Bar.

Client Service Representative
Alaina joined the Twinbrook Animal Clinic team as a Client Service Representative in 2025. She has always wanted to work in veterinary medicine because of her passion for helping animals. She enjoys being the first friendly face clients and their pets see when they walk through the door and loves getting to meet and greet all of the patients who visit the clinic. Building relationships with clients and helping make each visit a positive experience are some of her favorite parts of the job.
Outside of work, Alaina enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking with her dogs, Daisy and Copper. She also cherishes spending time with her family, especially her two nieces. At home, she has three cats—Salem, Sanderson, and Ernie—whose names were inspired by the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus. Whether she's welcoming clients at the front desk or exploring the trails with her pets, Alaina's love for animals shines through in everything she does.

Client Service Representative
Claire joined the Twinbrook Animal Clinic team with a lifelong passion for animals. Although Twinbrook is her first experience working in the veterinary field, she has dreamed of a career in animal care since kindergarten. As a child, she spent her free time researching dog breeds and creating her own "dog book"—a notebook filled with information on every breed recognized by the American Kennel Club.
In 2020, Claire turned her love for dogs into a creative business by opening an Etsy shop where she designs and handcrafts dog harnesses, collars, vests, and other accessories. She hopes to one day become a dog trainer specializing in behavior modification or continue pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her pets, especially hiking with her poodle mix, Norman, and relaxing in the sunshine with her cat, Toby. One of her favorite adventures was completing a 16-mile hike through Letchworth State Park in New York with Norman. Norman also served as Claire's service dog for five years before retiring due to his own health needs, and she credits him with inspiring her passion for animal care.
When she's not at Twinbrook, you'll likely find Claire reading a good book, visiting a tattoo shop, or attending a metal concert or music festival.

Liz joined the Twinbrook Animal Clinic team in 2019 while she was still a senior in high school, turning her lifelong passion for animals into a career. After joining the practice, she earned her Kennel Assistant Certificate through an online program. Growing up surrounded by animals inspired her love for veterinary medicine, and she enjoys that every day brings new patients, new challenges, and opportunities to continue learning.
As one of Twinbrook's most versatile team members, Liz can be found assisting as a veterinary technician, caring for patients in the kennel, or helping clients at the front desk. She is always willing to lend a hand and is often the first to answer the call when the clinic needs extra help on evenings or weekends. She especially values the close-knit team at Twinbrook and says her coworkers feel like family.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys hiking with her dogs, kayaking, hunting, drawing, watching movies, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and pet sitting for a variety of animals—including alpacas and pigs. At home, she cares for quite the menagerie: Willow, a Pit Bull mix; Jade, a Lab mix; Murphy, a Beagle; three cats named Stan, Ripley, and Grayson; chickens, ducks, honeybees, and fish.

When she's away from the clinic, Vanessa enjoys trail riding and endurance competitions with her Morgan mare, Willow. She also enjoys country line dancing, singing, hiking, fishing, raising butterflies, and exploring a variety of other hobbies. Growing up in the world of purebred dogs, Chanel has been actively showing and grooming dogs since childhood and has experience working with most breeds across all groups. One of her proudest accomplishments was breeding, raising, and showing a Beagle to Best of Variety at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Her experience in the show ring, combined with her passion for dogs, allows her to provide gentle, individualized grooming that helps every pet look and feel their very best. Queen of Twinbrook
Bubblegum arrived at Twinbrook one morning with impeccable timing, waiting patiently at the front door with her imaginary suitcase and a few dollars of spending money. Her human neighbors had apparently decided they didn't want to see her spend another winter outdoors and strongly "suggested" that she move in with us instead.
Since then, Bubs has fully embraced her royal responsibilities. She supervises the staff throughout the day and occasionally offers to assist with patient care. A well-timed full-body stretch or dramatic stroll through an exam room can be just the distraction we need to keep a wiggly patient occupied for a few extra seconds.
When she's off duty, Bubblegum enjoys sleeping in her favorite tent, begging for treats, and—if her requests are ignored—helping herself to anything left unattended on the counter. Fortunately, she's also mastered the art of looking completely innocent afterward.
You may not see Bubblegum during your visit. As the Queen of Twinbrook, she prefers to greet her loyal subjects on her own schedule. After all, she simply allows the rest of us to work in her kingdom.
Bubblegum welcomes admiration from a respectful distance and reserves the right to ignore anyone she chooses.
