meet our team

Behind every great veterinary practice is a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the well-being of every pet and every family who walks through our doors.

From the first phone call to the time you leave after your appointment, our receptionist, veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff work together to provide a welcoming experience and exceptional care. Their compassion, knowledge, and commitment help make Twinbrook Animal Clinic the special place it has been for generations.

We are proud of the people who make up our Twinbrook family, and we're excited to introduce them to you.

Meet our clinic coorindator

Nicky - Clinic Coordinator

Nicky became part of Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in 2015 when she was only 15!  While working here, she graduated from high school, got an Associates degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.  We decided not to let her leave Twinbrook so she became our Head Client Service Representative a few years later.   Especially during COVID, Nicky became instrumental in learning most aspects of keeping the clinic running so she has become our Clinic Coordinator. Nicky grew up in the veterinary industry and enjoys that no two days here are the same.  She likes the client/patient relationships she has made over the years.  She also appreciates the teamwork of Twinbrook's staff and how well everyone can work together, especially in a crisis situation.

In her spare time, she enjoys boating and outdoor activities with her family, friends, and dogs. Nicky is a firefighter/first responder in her local community and has a therapy dog named Petunia, a chocolate Lab, who is trained as a debriefing dog for the Fire Department.

Meet the Team - Client Service Representatives

Lin - Client Service Representative

Lin joined Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in 2020, bringing with her 26 years of animal expertise; she was a groomer for many of those years and worked in a veterinary clinic for eight years before we were lucky enough to bring her onto our team.  She values everything about her chosen profession and enjoys every minute of her time at the clinic, especially the people and their pets.  It is obvious how much Lin loves her job to the clients and patients with whom Lin interacts.

Lin loves all things outdoors, especially boating, camping, fishing, and swimming.  She also enjoys snowmobiling and has traveled to Canada on snowmobile expeditions. Lin has opened her doors to an array of animals, including: three dogs, Emma, Uschi, and Ollie; four cats, Casanova, Dora, Frosty Paws and Minnie; three ducks, Waddles, Puddles and Paddles; four chickens, Scrappy, Kellogg, Lacy and Bar Bar.

Meet the Team - Veterinary Technicians

Carly - Lead Tech, Certified Veterinary Technician

Carly graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2012 and passed her boards to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She began working for Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. shortly after graduation.  Carly enjoys working at Twinbrook and finds it to be a comfortable fit as well as being challenging and fulfilling work.  She loves that her coworkers are like family to her.  Animals bring joy to Carly's life and she loves making them feel better - physically and emotionally - by helping to keep them calm and as free of pain and stress as possible while in her care.

Carly shares her home with her husband and young son as well as:  two dogs, Doaree and Sabot; two cats, Tyger and August; a Red Tail Boa, Babayaga; a Mexican red knee tarantula, Harry Potter; and a red-eared slider, Pops.  Carly has many interests and in her spare time, she enjoys: bowling; camping; vegetable gardening; trivia competitions; crafting, like painting cross stitching, sewing and knitting;  meditation and yoga; and of course spending time with her family.

Laura - Veterinary Technician | Certified Canine Rehabilitation Assistant

Laura received her education at La Roche University and Robert Morris University.  She became part of Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in 2002 starting part-time in the kennel and working into full time in 2003.  Laura frequently attended continuing education events so it was decided that she needed to come out of the kennel and become a technician!  She attended the Canine Rehab Institute and became a Certified Canine Rehab Assistant in 2010.  The desire to help pets is what has driven Laura to pursue a career in Veterinary medicine; the most fulfilling part of work for her is interacting with people and assisting them in deepening their ties with their dogs. She appreciates that the doctors and staff at Twinbrook practice good medicine and she is proud to be a part of it.

Laura likes to spend time with her daughters raising and training Vizslas and Beagles. They enjoy showing their dogs in conformation as well as competing in field trials and hunt tests. During her downtime, she enjoys drawing/painting and gardening. Laura shares her home with her husband, a few Beagles and Vizslas, and an English Pointer as well as several Bobwhite quail.

Liz - Veterinary Technician

Liz started working at Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in 2019 when she was just a senior in high school to pursue a career she’s passionate about. After starting here, she received a Kennel Assistant certificate through an online program  She has a strong desire to work with animals since she grew up around them. What Liz likes most about her chosen field is that it never gets old because each day and each appointment presents a new challenge.  She also says that her coworkers feel like family.  Liz is one of our most versatile employees; you may see her working as a tech, in the kennel, or at the front desk.  She's also the first one to answer a call if something arises on an evening or weekend.

Liz spends her free time hiking and enjoys hiking challenges with the dogs.  She also pet sits for a variety of animals, including alpacas and pigs.  She sets aside time for kayaking, hunting, watching movies, drawing, sports, and eating. Liz has a little zoo of her own at home including:  a Pit Bull mix, Willow; a Lab mix, Jade; a Beagle, Murphy; three cats, Stan, Ripley, and Grayson; a variety of chickens and ducks; honeybees; and some fish.

Vanessa - Veterinary Technician

Vanessa is our most recent addition to the Twinbrook technician team.  She studied Biology at BC3, worked at Petco and has 11 years experience working as a tech in another veterinary practice.  Vanessa says Twinbrook has a great positive and encouraging atmosphere to work in and that all of the staff and clients she has met have been friendly and kind.  We are happy to have her!

In addition to her small animal experience, Vanessa spent 20 years with Rockdale Farm Percherons keeping the horses fit and ready for shows and parades.  You may even have seen her driving a team of those gorgeous black horses down Main Street in Butler.  In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys riding Willow, her Morgan mare, on trail rides and in endurance competitions.  She also enjoys country line dancing, singing, hiking, fishing, raising butterflies, and lots of other hobbies.    Vanessa shares her home with her husband and young son, and a calico/tortie cat, Willow.

Aydan - Certified Veterinary Technician

Meet the Team - Kennel Assistants

Sarah - Lead Kennel Assistant

Sarah graduated in 2010 from Thiel College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, as well as minoring in medical biology, wildlife biology and coaching. She began working at Twinbrook in August of 2012. Sarah wanted to work in the veterinary field from an early age and prefers working behind the scenes to keep the clinic running smoothly - although she is a great technician and willing to help when we need her to work in appointments.  Sarah considers her coworkers as family and loves that they work very well as a team to get everything done.

When she’s not at work, Sarah enjoys hiking, photography (landscape and nature), running 5ks and half marathons.  She loves cheering on her favorite teams, especially the Steelers, Penguins, and Virginia Tech.   Sarah shares her home with a Rex rabbit, Crosby.

Meet the Team - Groomer

Chanel - Groomer

Chanel practically grew up at Twinbrook often coming in at a very young age with her mom and then working here primarily in the kennel off and on for approximately 10 years.  She started working here as a groomer in 2024.  Chanel has been actively showing and grooming dogs since childhood and has worked with most breeds of all groups.  She enjoys working here because of the comfortable family-like environment but also has great confidence being here and knowing that animals are treated the very best.

When Chanel isn't grooming at Twinbrook or traveling around the country showing dogs, she is raising and training puppies or working out at the gym.  She shares her home with many dogs, mostly Vizslas and Beagles, and with her rabbit.

Meet the Team - Support Staff

Coralie - Boarding & Daycare Attendant

Coralie studied Equine Management at Williams Woods College and has trained horses from 1979 to 2002. In April of 2002, she became part of Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. The opportunity to work with and care for animals is what she loves most about her job. She also very much appreciates the team and everything they do for patients and their families.

Coralie still trains horses part-time, works with dogs and pet sits when she can. When she’s not working, she enjoys gardening, painting, and reading. She has a total of eight cats and a Sheltie named Liam. Her six DSH cats are Pounce, Ben, Lily, Modeira, Jacob and Sasha. Possum and Spohia are her Domestic Longhair pair.

Meet the Team - Clinic Cats

Bubblegum

We found Bubblegum waiting at the front door one morning when we opened with her suitcase and a few dollars of spending money.  Her human neighbors apparently did not want to see her spend a winter outside so they 'suggested' to her that she come stay with us.  Since she has been here, Bubs has taken over the jobs of supervising the employees as they work and offering to distract patients if she feels we need help.  (A well-placed full body stretch can attract the attention of a wiggly patient long enough to finish its treatment.) Her hobbies are sleeping in her personal tent, begging for food, and if we don't give her what she thinks she is due, stealing food from the counter.  You probably won't see much of her; as the Queen of Twinbrook, she greets her subjects on her own terms.  She just allows us to work here in her kingdom.
