Cat Boarding FAQs

Cat boarding is a service that provides safe, temporary housing for your cat while you are away. At Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in Valencia, PA, we offer feline boarding that focuses on comfort, cleanliness, and supervision. Our facility is designed to reduce stress and allow your cat to settle in peacefully during their stay. Whether you're traveling for work or taking a vacation, you can trust our animal clinic to provide dependable care.

How Do I Prepare My Cat for Boarding?

Before your cat's visit, please ensure your cat is current on all required vaccinations. Proof of current Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations is required for all boarding guests. This helps protect your cat as well as the other pets staying at our facility.

It's a good idea to bring something familiar from home, such as a favorite blanket or toy, to help your cat feel more comfortable during their stay. We also recommend feeding your cat before drop-off, though we are happy to continue their regular diet while they are boarding with us.

What Happens During My Cat’s Stay?

While boarding at our vet clinic, your cat will receive personalized attention and regular monitoring. Our trained staff checks in on each guest frequently to ensure they’re eating, using the litter box, and behaving normally. We maintain a quiet, clean space away from cats and high-traffic areas to reduce anxiety. If a health concern comes up, our veterinarian is available to step in immediately.

Can You Handle Medical Needs While Boarding?

Our veterinary team is equipped to manage many special health needs during your cat's stay, including administering medications and monitoring chronic medical conditions. If a medical concern arises while your cat is boarding, our team is prepared to provide prompt veterinary care during normal business hours.

Please note that our clinic is not staffed 24 hours a day. If your cat requires medications that must be given very frequently or has a condition requiring time-sensitive care, such as diabetes or insulin injections, please call us before scheduling your boarding reservation so we can determine whether we are able to safely accommodate your cat's specific needs.

If your cat has a unique medical condition or care plan, we encourage you to discuss it with our team prior to boarding so we can ensure the best possible care during their stay.

How Is Feline Boarding Different From Pet Sitting?

Feline boarding at an animal clinic offers more than just supervision. Unlike pet sitters, we have veterinary support on-site and can quickly respond to changes in health or behavior. Our environment is specifically tailored for cats, minimizing unfamiliar stressors and keeping routines as consistent as possible. When you choose professional pet boarding, your cat receives both comfort and clinical oversight.

Why Choose Our Clinic for Cat Boarding?

At Twinbrook Animal Clinic, Inc. in Valencia, PA, we provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free boarding experience designed specifically for cats. Our dedicated feline boarding area, caring team, and on-site veterinary staff during business hours allow us to provide exceptional care for both healthy cats and those with special medical needs. Whether your cat is staying for a weekend or an extended visit, you can have peace of mind knowing they're in experienced and compassionate hands.
